M. Coderre should be ejected from caucus

Check it out here.

The position M. Coderre has decided to take it disgusting. Between this and the Hizbollah situation he has not place calling himself a Liberal. Its time M. Dion showed that he can lead a party and remove M. Coderre from caucus. To refer to Gen. Hillier as prop is simply insulting to all of our men and women in uniform. Go ahead. Call me a Conservative if you want. But our nation's top soldier deserves more respect than this. And if we want to be Government again its top we started showing Gen. Hiller and the rest of the Canadian Armed Forces the respect they deserve.

Gen. Hiller is at fault here for talking publicly and promoting Harper's agenda. He has no business giving political statements and should stay neutral.Criticising mangement has nothing to do with not supporting troops. On the other hand they are soldiers and that is their job. They do not require support except enough equipment to carry out their mission. Canada is not at war, we are helping the U.S. as Nato partners that's all. Liberals or anyone is this country has a right to free speech and to question the lunacy of this engagement. We cannot win there, the U.S. will not win there and neither will NATO. The Afghanis don't want us there and there is nothing we can do about it. Killing the people for not wanting to be occupied is a war crime. The Taliban are the conservative factions of the local Pashtuns and we will not make them like us for killing their relatives. They also have an honor code that they have to avenge every death by force. The more people we kill the more enemies we create. Do the math, who is going to win this?

What "Hizbollah situation"?

You're as bad as the Conservatives, slagging Liberals by suggesting they're sympathetic to and/or aligned with terrorist groups.

Unless you've got some evidence to back up your borderline libelous statements about Coderre, you should watch your mouth, you immature little twit.

Hillier used the term 'decade of darkness' since 2003, at numerous events.
No Libs went ballistic when the 'decade of darkness' was a main part of his speech for Clarkson's farewell, under a Liberal government.

Why is Coderre defence critic?
He is anti-military/RCMP.

Right anon, muzzle the truth tellers.
Everyone saw Duceppe and Coderre in a protest march, under the Hezbollah flag.

That's all. NATO, the UN....thats all?

Thank god your opinion is of the minority in my party.

Your represent one extreme Candu, the Neo-Cons represent the other. The Liberal Party is all about balance.

Jordan, I dont think M.Coderre should be ejected. I do strongly disagree with his comments though. Calling him a prop was taking it too far. Saying that the 90's were a decade of darkness no way implies that he prefers the Conservatives. I mean, Hillier is a big fan of Pearson, Ignatieff and other Liberals.

Paul Martin brought on Hillier exactly for Hillier's ability to be brash and make military matters front and centre in the Canadian mind.

you want to support the troops, do it the right way, fight to bring them home, the population in afghnistan are now calling the war , the war of liberation, that makes us, an occupying army, they dont want us there, the reason, "the americans" and there is no difference in their eyes between us and them, and anyway, its not hillier dying, its our sons...

To candu/litz.:
Than I must tell both of you this is simply a case of disagreement on our accounts. Canada IS at war. Its time we admitted it to ourselves and our country. And we will need the support of our elected officials can we win this.

To anon 10:28:
Next time you go around calling people names do your research. M. Coderre has openly supported the Hizbollah.

To wilson61:
The support is always appreciated.

To anon 11:10:
I agree with you in that you can support troops without supporting war, however, Canada has a responsibility to be there. The current Government of Afghanistan has asked us to be there and expel the terrorist Taliban. That is what we are doing. More than that we are helping bring the Afghani society up to where it belongs after years of Taliban rule.

When did Coderre "openly support the Hizbollah"?

Back up your statement with a link to a credible source or I'll forward your comments to Coderre's office so he can decide whether to sue you into oblivion.

Maybe that's the only way you'll learn that words have consequences.

All you've shown is that Coderre attended a rally where some of the participants carried Hezbollah flags.

How you get from there to the statement "Coderre supports Hezbollah" is a leap of logic too far.

If you can't get past the fact that political rallies attract people of all backgrounds and beliefs, you are a twit.

I've marched in anti-war rallies with anarchists and communists - according to your logic, I support the overthrow of the government and the establishment of some sort of workers' paradise. Get real, kid.

You also left out the fact that, at the same rally, Coderre called for the disarming of Hezbollah and he was booed for it. Hardly seems like something a "supporter of Hezbollah" would call for. If you want a source, try the Canadian Jewish News:

Face it, you may as well join the Conservative party because you seem intent on vilifying anyone who criticizes Israel, even implicitly. You'll fit right in with people like Pierre Poilievre.

Than to you, my anonymous friend, I say prove it. Coderre was at a "pro-Hezbollah" rally. That is unless you're trying to say it was just anti-Israel?
